2026 Prosecutor Race | Quinn Dalan Will Ruin Yakima County Justice

News Sep 6, 2026

The 2026 Yakima County Prosecutor race is growing ever more spicy. Our local Republican Party launched a bit of counter-media against Prosecutor candidate, Quinn Rosborough Dalan. The attack came in the shape of a small website called QuinnDalan.com which has generated significant uproar. Let's talk about it...

Yakima Media Outrage at a Cheap Website

QuinnDalan.com advertises why Quinn Rosborough Dalan is a fake Republican and unfit to be Yakima County Prosecutor. The website features some cringe AI videos, and it's a little over-the-top with the Twilight Zone theme – but the local Republicans have clearly done some research, and we're happy to see it.

What QuinnDalan.com Says

QuinnDalan.com looks at a few things – her voting record (which includes Biden/Harris), her monetary campaign contributions (to former Governor Jay Inslee), her affiliations (with a bunch of leftist organizations), and her reposting of an "inspirational" quote from Hilary Clinton.

At the pinnacle of the Yakima Republican's evidence is a snippet from YPD Case #11-03943. In the case, Quinn Dalan called an alleged rape victim a "lying little bitch."

This particular quote has generated a lot of controversy. We received the full case file (all 531 pages) to provide you with context.

A Revealing Investigation Case from 2011

YPD Case #11-03943 is centered on Aaron Dalan. Aaron was Quinn's boyfriend at the time, and is now her husband. In 2011, Aaron Dalan was arrested for the alleged rape of a minor.

The victim claimed Aaron had raped her multiple times over the course of 5+ years. Although the case was dismissed with prejudice (meaning it can't be refiled), it sheds light on many topics, including Quinn Rosborough Dalan.

Two Yakima Police Interviews with Quinn Dalan

In YPD Case #11-03943, there are two police interview transcripts with Quinn about the situation with Aaron Dalan.

Interview 1 | Inconsolable Sobbing & Disbelief

In the first transcript, Quinn was interviewed shortly after Aaron's arrest. She was highly emotional, at times sobbing inconsolably, and she asked to go off the record twice.

YPD Detective Curtis Oja noted the following in his main narrative:

Interview 2 | Poison in the Yakima Prosecutor's Office

About three weeks later, Detective Oja conducted a follow-up interview. This time, Quinn brought her lawyer, Jim Davis, to shut down any questions she didn't like.

Several things become apparent in Quinn's second interview:

  • Quinn has been talking to a lot of people about the case, both personally and professionally. She also refused to tell the police who she had spoken with.
    • Because the alleged victim was the daughter of a local judge/city councilwoman, and the alleged perpetrator was a lawyer, confidentiality in the Prosecutor's office was CRITICAL to the integrity of the case.
  • Quinn called the victim "a lying little bitch" to at least one person (a coworker).
  • Quinn admits to having no basis for calling the victim a lying little bitch, apart from her own emotional bias.
💡
At the time of the case, Quinn was a deputy prosecuting attorney for Yakima County in the special assault unit. The victims of sex crimes in Yakima were relying on Quinn to help hold perpetrators accountable.

Bonus Interview | Quinn Rosborough Dalan's Supervisor

The day after Quinn's second interview, YPD Detective Chad Janis interviewed her supervisor at the Prosecutor's Office, Therese Murphy.

It's apparent in the interview that Murphy is a close friend of Quinn's, in addition to holding a supervisory role. Murphy states that Quinn housesits for her, and they attend a Bible study together.

In the interview with Murphy, Detective Janis makes the following observation about Quinn's behavior throughout the case:

💡
In other words, an investigating YPD detective believed Quinn Rosborough Dalan was incapable of doing her job at the Prosecutor's office, and she was behaving unethically.

Response 1 | Interview with the Yakima Herald

How has Quinn Dalan responded to the unearthing of YPD Case #11-03943? The only official statement she has made in response to the QuinnDalan.com is through the Yakima Herald-Republic.

These are some segments and quotes from the Herald's article on Quinn from July 28th, 2026.

Quinn Dalan Doesn't Think Associations Matter in Politics

"First of all, I'm the one running, not my husband."
-Quinn Dalan in the Yakima Herald-Republic (July 28th, 2026)

In other words: Quinn doesn't seem to believe that her spouse (and certainly not any other "lesser" acquaintances) are worth considering while running for election. That's a bizarrely naive view to hold.

Aaron Dalan currently works for Yakima County in the Department of Assigned Counsel's Felony Division. He's already a part of our core legal institution and represents those who cannot afford a lawyer. As such, he's eligible for just as much scrutiny as Quinn.

Quinn Dalan Believes the YPD Case is Old & Irrelevant

"Secondly, [the Yakima Republicans] have dug up something that was very old...It's been 15 years, and that was a deeply personal moment in my life."
-Quinn Dalan in the Yakima Herald-Republic (July 28th, 2026)

According to RCW 9A.04.080, the rape or molestation of a child doesn't have a statute of limitations. So why should Quinn's statements blatantly calling the victim a liar just get to disappear?

At the time of her statement, Quinn had been a licensed lawyer for about 3 years. She wasn't brand new to law, and she was (somehow) deemed worthy to work in our Prosecutor's office. Therese Murphy probably had a hand in that...

Dalan Says Her Statement Doesn't Reflect Her Capacity

According to the Yakima Herald: Dalan said the statement does not reflect how she would handle cases as the county's prosecuting attorney.

"I would obviously recuse myself if I felt that way about a case, and so I think based on my 20-year career, my experience and my qualifications hopefully mean more than a comment I made 15 years ago in a heated conversation with a colleague."
-Quinn Dalan in the Yakima Herald-Republic (July 28th, 2026)
  • In other words: Quinn doesn't think a personal moment of challenge reflects her true capacity to be Prosecutor. Apparently, a statement investigated by the police is not worth the public's evaluation.
  • Also: This statement makes it sound like Quinn only told one person. From the case interviews, we can see that Quinn had spoken to multiple people at the office, friends, and family members about her opinions on the case.
    • She even refused to cooperate with YPD investigators when asked to list who she had spoken to.

Response 2 | An Attempt to Control History

When One Crackima started investigating the Prosecutor race, the Yakima Herald-Republic had no relevant articles posted on Aaron Dalan's case. However, in July 2026, the Herald re-released 3 articles from 2011-2012.

💡
The Yakima Herald shows a plain level of hostility towards the victim and strongly favors the case's dismissal with prejudice – meaning the case can't be refiled. The Herald's quick dismissal of potential pedophilia is highly suspicious.

The Herald is Releasing Old Articles as Damage Control

We believe it was the controversy of QuinnDalan.com that prompted the Herald to start rebuilding context for the upcoming 2026 General Election.

The Herald has been clutching their pearls at the Republican's counter-media because "how dare you bring Christian moral code into the field of law, that's biased."

We anticipate the Herald will publish their usual smear campaign article right before ballots drop and right before election day. It's nothing new – they do it all the time, every time.

Response 3 | Yakima For Quinn Dalan Facebook

The third response to the release of YPD Case #11-03943 is a Facebook page called "Yakima for Quinn Dalan." The page claims it's made by "independent supporters," but it's hilariously more invested than Quinn's own campaign page.

"Yakima for Quinn Dalan" Minimizes Her Concerning Behavior

The Yakima for Quinn Dalan page spends an exorbitant amount of time trying to normalize Quinn's actions during the police investigation of Aaron Dalan, and minimizing the case of the victim.

Because the victim's case was dismissed with prejudice, it's apparently not worth looking at. We've attached a few of the page's posts for posterity.

The Facebook page is essentially trying to justify Quinn's actions with false accountability.

Our Opinion on Who is Behind Yakima for Quinn Dalan?

We have a suspicion about who's running the Facebook page, and they're far from being any old "independent supporter."

The Rain Shadow Report recently broke a story saying that a large pool of establishment "Republican" candidates were all using the same media and consulting companies. One of them was called SPD&G.

The Public Disclosure Commission (PDC) shows that Quinn Dalan has used SPD&G extensively for her campaign, totaling over $13,800 spent so far – $4,500 of that amount is actually qualified as campaign debt.

At the head of SPD&G is Kelly Gasseling. Both she and her husband Brad have given Quinn Dalan a personal endorsement on her campaign website. No other members of the SPD&G team have done that.

SPD&G is also highly qualified to run a social media campaign, and they've done it for other clients like Kapuza Lighty (a local law firm), supposedly going above and beyond to connect with the Yakima community.

An AI Facebook page doesn't seem outside of SPD&G's capabilities, especially not Kelly Gasseling in "private capacity."

Why Quinn Dalan Ruins Yakima County Justice

Fifteen years ago, Quinn Dalan had two interviews with the Yakima Police Department. They weren't in professional capacity, and she wasn't in any judicial authority on the case they were investigating. It was a personal moment.

💡
The reality that Quinn, the Yakima Herald, and the "Yakima for Quinn Dalan" page keep denying is that your personal moments are usually more truthful than your professional ones.

The YPD investigation showed that Quinn was unable to remain calm in the face of adversity. Three weeks after the initial shock of Aaron's arrest, she was still calling the alleged victim a liar with no other basis than her own emotions (a very liberal thing to do).

She had spoken with a concerning number people about the case, potentially poisoning the Prosecutor's office against the alleged victim, who was highly connected in the Yakima legal scene.

When YPD Detective Chad Janis spoke with Therese Murphy (Quinn's supervisor), he implied her behavior was irrational, unprofessional, and unethical.

All of this is stacked on Quinn Dalan trying to masquerade as a Republican.

She boasts about an endorsement from the Mainstream Republicans of Washington (plot twist: they're not pro-life and they refuse to say that marriage is between a man and a woman – she might as well be endorsed by Democrats). The Yakima Republicans also uncovered that she has a Democrat voting and donation record.

Her 20-year legal career is mostly focused on gender and social justice law. Quinn's extracurricular activities show that she has been on many of the leftist nonprofit boards we've called into question, including Rod's House, and that we have so many more organizations to investigate.

💡
Here's Why Quinn Dalan is a Hard NO: She's a wolf in sheep's clothing (not a real Republican). Our Prosecutor's office would become a DEI, social justice outlet. When facing real adversity, she was crippled by her emotions and conducted herself unethically. She will not be successful in office.

Stay Tuned: We will be going in-depth on YPD Case #11-03943 in a later article.
