Yakima GOP Honors Charlie Kirk with Prayer Vigil
On Sunday evening, the Yakima County Republicans hosted a prayer vigil for Charlie Kirk and his family at Kissel Park. There was a worship team with various pastors speaking, a memorial area, and even baptisms were being held. Our estimates put a couple thousand people present – enough to make the Yakima Police Department stop in and stick around, though the night remained peaceful.
What Did Yakima's Charlie Kirk Vigil Look Like?
Vigils like this one are being held around the world. Some have been peaceful and haven't. Here's what Yakima's looked like:

What's Wild about the Charlie Kirk Vigil?
One Crackima delayed publishing this article for two days, waiting to see whether the Yakima Herald-Republic would actually cover this event.
The Herald is more than happy to cover local anti-Trump protests, but they would rather feature scads of articles from anywhere else about Charlie Kirk than acknowledge the local Christians of Yakima.
We reported previously on the Herald's article that Charlie Kirk had been killed. In it, the Herald pulled quotes from leadership across Yakima. One of which was Soneya Lund in capacity as the Chair of the Yakima County Democrats conveying her sympathies to the Kirk family.

We have since found that the Yakima County Democrats also posted (and deleted) a very different sentiment about Charlie Kirk.

Our Favorite Part of Yakima's Charlie Kirk Vigil
Aside from seeing candles and light shining through the darkness, One Crackima's favorite part of the vigil was seeing so many people wearing stickers that said, "I am Charlie Kirk."

We would posit that Charlie Kirk's assassination wasn't political – it was a matter of good versus evil, as all great wars truly are.
James O'Keefe, who recently visited Yakima for a Republican fundraiser, said this in his tribute to Charlie Kirk:
Charlie Kirk was a truth teller for Christ, just like we're all supposed to be. And now, it's up to us to continue telling the truth.
